Wanting to scope my .22 rimfire and would like recommendations.  I was just going to put on a Redfield that I took off a .35 Rem. but heard something about the parallax would not be correct for the rimfire.  Anybody got any experience with scoping their rimfire with good results.  JOHN

I have a Redfield Illuminator 6.5x20-50 on my .17vs.  I haven't had any problems with the parallax.  Seems to work great for me.  I just had a hard time finding a way to mount the thing.  Finally, I have to convert the 3/8" groove to a weaver style mount using an adapter.  There just wasn't enough room for the A.O. to clear.

I've used full size scopes on my .22's for years, with no problems. I think the post mentioning the problem was actually refering to the new Redfields having a problem, more than the .22 cal rifle it was on.

I have a Bushnell 4X12 on my 880SQ and have not noticed a problem with the oft mentioned parallax.  Glen

Any scope with an adj. obj. should not give you any problems. On most guns med rings will work up to a 44 mil lens but any bigger will have to use high. This is just an average to work from. Best,
