Forum Members,

I have made an agreement with Dave and Larry (the Marlin Owners Forum owners), to make a donation to the forum when one of the members becomes a Preferred Customer (PC) or Dealer and makes a qualifying order, (basically an oil change).

The way it works is when an individual becomes a PC or Dealer and makes a qualifying order (typically a 12qt case of oil and a filter), AMSOIL gives the Sponsoring Dealer (in this scenario - me) a one time $10 signing bonus for that customer. In the past, I have given this $10 back to the forum member as a discount - essentially getting the PC Membership free. In addition the new PC is given Wholesale Pricing for all products.

This same donation would be made for anyone that opens a business account and makes a qualifying order of $100 or more. AMSOIL has accounts for Retail Stores, and Commercial Businesses. If any of you have a business I would be glad to send you info as well.

The new plan is to give this $10 to the forum in order to help support our addiction  Wink .

If you are wondering what the benefit is of using AMSOIL products, #1 on my mind right now is increased fuel economy. I could give you testimonials of it but would rather others who have used it chime in on this, VTDW and CalFred.............

This is just a side business I do basically for the tax write off so I really don't have a lot to gain from this except I like to keep coming to the forum and thought this would be a good way to help out with it.

And what the heck, if you guys can save some money on fuel - that's just more you can use for ammo.  Grin

So if anyone is interested, just email or PM me and I will gladly do what I can to help you out.

Thanks guys,

DaveD

Dave,

WOW!!!  Thanks for the donation bro.  I have used AMSOIL products for years and cannot tell you how much money it has saved me not to mention increasing the longevity of my motorized equipment from pickups to weedeaters.

The first time I used AMSOIL was when a friend talked me into purchasing one little bottle of 100:1 oil for mixing for 2-cycle engines.  We poured one ounce in a gallon of gasoline and put it in the old WeedEater I had had for years.  I started it up and after about a minute of running full throttle the little engine began running higher and higher rpm's.  I was shocked and that oil just cleaned the heck out of the little valves in that engine.  Heck, I had to retune because it idled at such high rpm's after using the AMZOIL for just a few minutes.  My friend just smiled. Grin

I never had a new vehicle ever until the same year when I bought a brand new 86" Mazda pickup.  All my other old jalopys leaked oil and/or tranny fluid so I knew AMZOIL was not for me.  I ran the mandatory break-in and took the truck back for that first oil change.  I had my friend with me and we drove the little truck to his house and immediately drained the oil and removed the filter.  We also drained the tranny and 3-rd member oil.  We installed AMSOIL crankcase (along with an AMSOIL filter), tranny and 3-rd member.  I started up the little truck and ran it for a bit, we checked all the fluid levels and I drove home.  The very first thing I noticed was how much easier the tranny shifted and that was a shock.  In the winter I would go out and start the truck and leave it in neutral and when I let out on the clutch the engine didn't even slow down any at all and that was with the shaft in the tranny turning.  Again I was shocked.

Long story made short, I immediately got a 3 mpg increase and it ended up being 5 mpg before I sold that truck.  I was suspicious of the 20,000 miles between oil changes and had the crankcase oil evaluated twice, once at around 5,000 miles and again at 10,000 miles.  Both times the oil checkout as brand new with no metals to be found in the oil and the viscosity remained as new.  I sold the truck at about 80,000 miles and when you looked into the valve cover it looked just like new, bright and shiny.  The oil never turned brown either and because it stayed so clean it was hard to read the dip stick. Smiley

I have been an AMSOIL user ever since.  All my trucks, cars, outboard motors, weedeaters, chainsaws etc.  AMSOIL was the first mfgr to install a check valve in their oil filters.  That keeps the oil up in the engine where it belongs rather than draining back into the crankcase, so when you start the engine the oil is already there and there is no wear over time because of this innovation.  I didn't realize it at the time but this is why my friend refused to sell me engine oil without an AMSOIL filter!!!

Dave, headed out to San Clemente Island fishing in about an hour but I have gotten about 2 mpg increase on the highway over Mobil 1 which I was using in my 2003 Tacoma with an increase in power. The truck has about 40,000 miles on it and I have used Amsoil for the last 10,000 miles. There is a definite increase in power.
