Well, luckily for me...not one red cent.  About a month ago, I traded my Dad a Ruger rifle I had for his brand new Marlin 1895M !  I was gonna buy one in .45-70 years ago prior to the 450 coming out.  I'm glad I waited! Smiley

I bought mine at Sportsman's Warehouse in Wasilla AK about a year ago. Seems the 450 Marlin caliber hasn't really taken off in AK, so it had been sitting for some time. I walked out the door for $445.00. It's the blued/walnut model.

My 450's not a Marlin, its a Winchester Timber, the wife paid I think @ $475 back in 04, just picked up a Marlin 1895.

I think I paid $445 for my Guide gun in 2003 at sportsmans warehouse.   Its worth every penny.

A local dealer has a new 450 Guide Gun for $495.00.  They've had it for a really long time.

I have reached up to the gun rack and taken down the .30/30 carbine by some process of natural selection, not condoned perhaps by many experts but easily explained by those who spend long periods in the wilderness areas.
