Sasquatch, the last time I went to the range, I managed to get 3 or 4 five shot groups you could cover with a dime. That was last fall, 50 yds, front rest, rear bags, on the bench. There was no wind. I usually don't do that well, but that's me, not the rifle. - Vic

The Leupold Center Split .22 rings will work just fine. I got mine at Walmart for about $12.00.

I have reached up to the gun rack and taken down the .30/30 carbine by some process of natural selection, not condoned perhaps by many experts but easily explained by those who spend long periods in the wilderness areas.

I wish my Wal Mart carried those Leupold "Rifleman" rings still. They are a class act.~Andrew

When I first got my American I put on a set of BKL 257's. Great rings. Since then I have put on a 3/8" to Weaver adapter and Burris Signature rings. Can't beat that setup.
Good shooting.

I am still trying to decide on rings for my new American. I bought the 452 after reading reports of them being eliminated in favor of the new rifle coming out. It is the 455 which has a barrel that can be interchanged with other rimfire barrels as in 17 or 22 mag. I thought I better get the 452 in case the new rifle does not live up to expectations. At least the new rifle is to have the same dovetail across all the models so as to eliminate the problems with 3/8 versus 11mm etc. that can lead to problems when trying to find rings that fit.

The 452 Americans all have 3/8" dovetails. Those designed for the Euro trade (Lux, etal) have 11mm rails. Once you realize that, finding rings is no problem. (Certainly not as bad as it was 25 years ago!)~Andrew

I have the 452ezkm and I put millet rings on mine. They are top quality steel rings and have held fine for over 10000 rounds with the 3x9 leupold compact scope I have never had to re zero since putting it on. My cz is my favorite 22 rifle. I have several top quality 22's and the cz shoots right up there with them for accuracy. Several of them cost 4to5 times what I payed for the cz but won't out do it.
