Hey all. I just got my first lever gun. It's a 1972 336 in 35 Remington. I an planing on using a slightly shortened case to go after deer with it. Hope to learn more about the rifle and the round here.
Welcome from Indiana. I have cut down the 35 Rems for a few years now, They shoot just as good as the factory stuff. Deer don`t have a chance! :eating:
Suggestion: hunt with it a while before making a change. Suggest that a. you are likely to love it as it is or b. likely to not see any improvement after the change. Just sayin!
Good shooting!
Sincerely, MilPsych

here in the good old state of Indiana to make the 35 Remington legal for deer we have to cut the case length by just a little. We can only have a max case of 1.800
