Been lurking since I bought an 1894c remlin last summer. After reading and enjoying the insights and passion thought I would say hi. Retired from the Navy in 2000. Currently own 2 Marlins the 1894c and yesterday purchased a new 1895 Classic. Been reading about what to look for and was pretty lucky with the 1894c as just a bit of fit and finish issues (Forearm and stock not perfect) but shoots less than 1" groups to 100 yards with 158gr JSPs. Could not find anything wrong on the 1895. Hope to continue learning from you guys. WxGuyKML
