Not sure if you know this or not, but thre is an "Anti Limbaugh" petition at the White house, which is trying to get enough signatures on it to get the President to consider removing Rush Limbaugh from Armed Forces Network (AFN). This is the only radio many of our active duty and civilians get to listen to overseas or in remote areas. If he is removed then there will not much except for the lefty type of programing.
I urge you to get involved and make a difference. Set up and account at the White House and sign the petition. its painless and if you don't trust this link, then goggle it for yourself and make your voice be heard!
Thanks,
PS - I got this from the Navy Times today.
New petition lobbies to keep Limbaugh on AFN

With more than 21,000 electronic signatures so far on a petition calling for conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh to be banned from the Armed Forces Network radio station, Limbaugh supporters have launched a counter-petition to keep his three-hour show on AFN.
It had just two signatures as of Monday afternoon, but it has been posted for only two days on the White House’s public petition website, We The People.
Under that website’s guidelines, petitioners have one month to collect 25,000 electronic signatures. If they meet this threshold, the White House promises an official response to the petition.

The anti-Limbaugh petition needs less than 3,900 more signatures by April 3 to meet the requirement.
The pro-Limbaugh petition needs to get 24,998 more signatures by April 10 to get an official White House response.
The anti-Limbaugh petition cites his use of the words “slut” and “prostitute” to describe a Georgetown University Law School student who spoke out about having birth control provided by the university’s health care plan. The petition to keep Limbaugh says that the campaign to remove him is a direct threat to free speech and is wrong because other entertainers, including some liberals, have said worse things.
The White House website has a wide range of petitions available for electronic signing, ranging from one with 1,815 signatures that asks President Obama to resign, to two about military benefits. One, with 723 signatures that was started March 3, calls for the protection of current military benefits. A second, started March 4 with 527 signatures, opposes increases in Tricare health insurance fees for retirees.

Where is the petition to get the President removed!

I just did this yesterday on my home PC and using my home email. This is the first time I have ever heard of this and first time I have ever participated, here is the deal as i understand it: The White House has a website set up that people can go to and start a petition for just about anything, like "We want to get Rush Limbaugh kicked off of Armed Forces Net Work, because we don't like what he has to say" and so they start a petition and if you get 25000 people to sign your petition electronically, then the White House will a take a serious look at what you are petitioning for. Apparently this has been a success process in the past, too bad many people like ourselves are just now learning about how to make our voices heard. The only down side is you have to sigh up for a White House account, this is to prevent fraud. But, what the heck, I figured I could give my email to the White House.
All you have to do to get started is to click on the "Pro Limbaugh Petition" in the middle of the email. the one to get Obama removed did not get very far.
