wild turkeys all over my yard this morning

Dog got one to take flight. It was big. Season starts in 2 weeks. Unfortunately, need to apply for turkey, but the grouse are out in numbers also.

We were at the deer lease in West Texas earlier in the week. We saw several hens and jakes but no Toms. There were grasshoppers all over the place, hopefully the late saeson in Texas will be a good one.

Being in a remote location myself, they'd be in the freezer tomorrow . . at least a couple few.

We must think along the same lines. One would probably have been deep fried today.
