    Marlin/Glenfield model 75C info.

High guys. I'm looking for more information on the history and different model versions of the model 75C. I appears as if there were 2 versions of the 75C. One with a magazine tube that protrudes about an inch from the stock, like this one:

And another version with a magazine tube that extends almost to the end of the barrel like this one:

I used to own the latter version growing up and I'm trying to find one to purchase for nostalgia sake. I've noticed that a larger majority (probably about 90%) of the 75's for sale on the internet are of the first version with the shorter magazine tube. Does anyone out there know the history of the 2 different versions. I can't find much information on the internet about the history of the 75C. Thanks for all your help and/or direction to information.

I just bought one of each at a local gun store. The 75 is has a short tube, supposedly 9 rounds. The 75C has a longer tube, full length of the barrel. Similar to the Marlin/Glenfield Model 60 but with a shorter barrel length.

I just bought one today. The guy had it listed for $110. I got it for $100. It's almost perfect. Amazing condition. Looks like the 2nd one you listed. I broke it down, cleaned & oiled it and it could nearly pass for new. I'm stoked!

As stated, but I will repeat...The 75C and the 75 are different rifles. The 75 has a short mag tube and barrel band. The 75C is just like a 60 with longer mag tube and no barrel band and the stock, I believe, exactly interchanges with a 60. So, these are two different animals from the same mother.
