I think a 45-70 would have been more appropriate for something that size

Well the distance was only about 12 feet, But he was closing in fast
. Used 38spl. so that i didn`t ruin too much meat. And the recoil is better on my girly shoulder. But it was a head shot, And no I didn`t drag it myself I had my wife carry it out.
