Willy, What are the steps for removing the forend on a rifle?
    Thanks

I've never had to take mine off. But instead of barrel bands you have to deal with the mag tube hanger and the forend cap.

I've had 5 guys thank me for the tip about drifting that pin out. They didn't know it had to come out and were really cussing their rifles. Also the mag tube end cap has a recess on one side. When you put it back together make sure the recessed side is facing the side where the head of the screw is at. The head of the screw goes into that recessed area. Line it up good as the end of the screw goes into the bottom of the barrel.
    Hope this helps.
