Thumbs down Malloy Budget Sets 400% Increase for Connecticut Gun Permit Fees

Gun owners will see huge increases in permit fees that would raise millions of dollars to help the state combat its two-year, $3.6 billion deficit. As part of his budget, Malloy is proposing to increase the state portion of the pistol permit fee from $70 to $300. He also is proposing the cost of the initial 5-year pistol permit fee from $140 to $370. The increase in fees for gun owners will bring in another $9 million to the state annually, according to the governor’s budget estimates. - Jack Kramer

Additionally, Malloy is proposing to increase background check fees from its current $50 to $75. That increase, the governor’s budget estimates, would bring in another $2.6 million annually to the state’s coffers. The Malloy budget also assumes $1.56B in labor savings, increases texes and makes a case for aid redistribution.

When a Blue state bleeds the Red thinkers, time for the Red thinkers to move to a Red state. The Blue state will have no other choice but to bleed its own Blue thinkers, then-collapse. Move back under lower housing and property taxes/prices and all other extraneous "taxes". The fact is, that Blue state will have to turn Red to recover.

So I guess they originally got that tax through a a very small fee to cover the paperwork costs, bla, bla.
And now they are going to jack it through the roof.
That's how the taxation magic trick works!
Probably too many libs in the state to even try to fight it.
But it does sound like you have to Pay for your Second Amendment Rights to me!

Malloy doesn't view the 2nd has a right but a privilege. He made a bunch of sweetheart deals with state unions to stay in office and now wants folks who aren't his base to pay for it. Tar and Feathers anyone?
Worst Governor ever and he was on Hill witches short list for VP, shows how close we are to the tipping point in the USA.

As horrible as the reality of it is, that tipping point might be coming.
If it happens, we would be very vulnerable to our enemies, globally.
