    Glenfield/Marlin model 60 parts!

I have been reading everyone's threads about parts for model 60 parts and I have gone to all the web sights everyone has suggested, Brownells, Numrich etc.. They are "out of stock, sold out" of all the main parts I'm looking for. Anybody have anymore suggestions? I even went to Ebay and all the parts on there are being scarfed up for way more than there worth!
Is everybody out there trying to fix or rebuild "old style" model 60'S?
    Thanks,
    Frabazled

Well, squirrel season is coming up pretty soon, and these places seem to order only one batch of parts per year, so it's entirely possible.

In many cases you're better off simply retrofitting the newer parts, imo. For instance my son's gun doesn't feed well sometimes. If it turns out that it needs a new feed throat, I'm just going to install the new style upgrade kit, and sell the old parts that get replaced to pay for it. What parts exactly are you looking for?

local gun shop. there are over 11 million of these things, it would be stupid of them not to have at least the common parts. you probably will pay more than online but you dont have to pay shipping or wait to install it. they may be sold out as well but because they probably sell to a far smaller market than brownells, numrich and midway, they are more likely to have the part you need.

Yeah, that's a good idea too. I hadn't thought of that because none of the shops around here stock any repair parts whatsoever, only accessories.

i was going to order R & L extractor arms, pins & spring. These they have. "old style" feed throat - SOLD OUT, upgrade kit feed throat SOLD OUT. Didn't see any reason to buy extractors & not have feed throat.

Good idea about local gun shops, but like Pokey, most of the ones around here sell whole guns or accessories. But I will try a couple & see. Thanks.

I picked up an abandoned project gun someone had started. Its a Model 60 with the screw assembly. One of the problems is the front screws and rear screw post and screw are missing. I've looked on-line and the prices are steep. Has anyone found any standard screw replacements? Same with the small e-clips. If anyone knows of a source for these that doesn't charge $3 each for these, that would be helpful. The sad thing is I have a new Model 60 lower assembly but it doesn't seem to work with the older receiver. If anyone has any information on using a new lower on an older upper receiver, that might solve the problem.

I have a 1975 Model 60. Mostly I am looking at the lower assembly parts. Depending on the price, I would actually just buy a whole lower assembly. Barring that, I need a hammer strut bridge and the small e-clips. I just bought the front and rear assembly screws off of eBay.
