precisiongunstocks.com used to have them; you can also try boydsgunstocks.com in Mitchell, SD
I would suggest calling them direct and talking if you cannot find on catalog - they sometimes produce these in "runs", or will even special make one (for a price I have used Boyd's (Marlin Model 27) and am very pleased with quality.

Here is another outfit that, if you send them your old one they can use it as a pattern for a new one. I was going to try them for a 1881 project but it fell through.Gunville Gun Stocks and Silver Hill Co.- Gun Stocks and Gun Parts
Let us know if you have any luck getting Boyds or Gunville to make one. If I continue to buy 32's and 38's I am sure I will need one someday.

Also I am starting a database of ser# on Model 32's and 38's, to help in coming up with more accurate manufacturing date info. If you could let me know some information on your 38 I would appreciate it.
Here is the thread, I also have some pics up, Still need to take a picture of my latest one. A round barrel A-prefix model.

    Model 38 stock replacement

I am in need of a stock also and am trying with no luck to contact other 38 owners. You are in need of a stock and have an original that you would like to replace. What I can do for you is use your stock to run thru a duplicator that is available to me in Hanover Pa. The contact for the duplicator is Timberland Stock Shop, Paul W Atland owner. Phone (717) 637 4978 fax (717)637-0743. You can deal with him directly. He has a Salstrom Duplicator. He can do the forearm and stock if needed. In my case I need only the rear stock. If anyone else out there need a rare or any stock duplicated or any stock work of any kind, Paul is a Gentleman a has been around a long time. Hope we can do it. Thanks Walt, Mechanicsburg Pa. Gunville stocks

I tried Gunville Stocks, they will do a duplication for you also. I tried there but to no avail, I sent gunville the part where the stock attached but couldn't come up with anything. Was left with the response" if they can find an original they will contact me after they duplicate it. Like being on a quest, you know it's out there but so is the HOLY GRAIL. I get closer and closer, I'm 75 hope I can hold out. Thanks
