Upsidedown pricing, and boy does it stink being broke!

I was at a LGS this past friday, and was pretty shocked at what they had for prices. In the one hand, they had a like new Ruger MKII competition for $275, and a very nice Remington speedmaster for $215, but on the other hand they also had a very beat up Glenfield model 99 carbine for $225.

If my wife were there, with me I would have asked her to hold and aim the Ruger, and if it fit her nice enough I would have traded my 50th anniversary standard for the comp. I can't go selling the Ruger without her permission, because she likes shooting that one. If I weren't a poor man I would have left with the Ruger, and put a deposit on the Speedmaster. If I had my druthers, I'd have left with them both. I think the speedmaster is a very interesting gun, and I don't think anyone can have too many MKII's.

I recently saw a basic, no frills Marlin 60 on GB and the guy wanted well over $400.00 for it...couldn't believe my eyes. I just now tried to find it but it's not there....but I really did see it.

At the very minimum I'd have put the Speedmaster on layaway............I've lusted after one of those for forty years, and at that price it would be MINE!

You want me to see if it's still there? I'm pretty sure they ship.

Oh, Lordy, NO. I'm so gun-poor right now I'm restricted to stale Ramen Noodles and leftovers for the next month. My latest Midway shipment will be here this afternoon, so I can feed the latest gun I bought, one of FOUR in the past 6 weeks. Will the madness ever end?

I keep telling my banker I can't possibly be overdrawn...........I still have checks left!
