I've been wanting a 22 Mag for quite some time now so took the plunge. Having read the horror stories about Remlin quality control, I looked over the four rifles the shop had and picked what I thought looked the best.

Once I got it home I broke it down and have it a cleaning and lube. There was very little dirt to be found and only a few tiny metal chips. I scoped it with an OLD pre chinese Bushnell Banner 6X20X40 scope and will be initially trying Fiocchi 40 gr HPs and CCI 30 gr V-Max.

I shoot a lot of centerfire benchrest hence the scope I chose to wring out all the accuracy I can get. Is the Marlin similar to the Savage rifles requiring the tang to be floated for the best accuracy?
