Yep, I bought one in the fall of 2011 for my new 795. It wouldn't feed even one shell and was extremely hard to slide into the gun. I thought some sanding would help, so I sanded it down. After that it fed ok, but then the gun wouldn't lock open after cycling through the last shot. So,I worked on it some more. Then it fell apart and was no longer usable. I couldn't return it after my mods, of course. It would have been unfair to the mfr to do so. I really wanted this to work. It would have been great with my bullpup stock. I think you would be better off buying several of the 10 shot mags.
I just ordered a high capacity mag from ordertree.com and got onto the champion parts site. The part # was 40426. I paid $32 and some change, shipped to my door. I'll let you know what I think after I've used and abused it with my Marlin 795.
That guy in the video seems very sincere. I say give it a shot.
Just tried out a 25 shot extended mag for the 795 and it functioned flawlessly thru 2 mag fulls. Time will tell if it keeps it up. I had never seen a ProMag extended magazine for the 795, and it isn't advertised on their website, but I bought it the local Academy store for $15. Anybody else tried these ProMag magazines.
Academy - ProMag Marlin 795 .22 LR 25-Round Magazine
I know have two of the Champion 25round magazines for my 795, I used a file and a dremel to adjust the feed lips on the first one till it became dependable. As per some reviews. After that I polished and changed the angle on my feed ramp and when I bought my second one it was good to go right out of the box. I posted pics in another thread. Love the 25rnds in my 795!!!
