    Marlin model 99-m1 .22 rifle

I picked up a 99-m1 rifle over the weekend and wondered if I paid too much for it. It's in 90% (or better) condition, has the
rear sight, never had a scope mounted (no scratches), still has the swivels, and even has a sticker on the forend that reads
"solid American walnut". It was manufactured in 1971 and a safe queen for sure.

    I paid $150.00....too much?

You knocked it outa the park on that one !

I foolishly passed on a desent one with rear site on it for $150.00 at the last Paris gunshow . There was a new in box one there too but I just about fell over when I saw the $399.00 on it!

Yep , them rear sites are a little hard to find . I been needing one myself to go on a M99 I got a few months ago .

Great little rifles , handy as a pocket on a shirt! Congrats .

Not sure I can add much?, I've only had mine now for about a month and a half now, yours sounds like it's in better shape than mine, I'd probably be stretching it a little if I said mine was 80%?, mine also still retains the original rear sight adding to the value but mine also has the optional squirrel engraved in the stock by Marlin, it was made in '69 and I payed $150 OTD for mine also, by the little I could gather over on RFC that's a real good deal!

I'm surprised that no one has said you need to post picture of it yet!?
    Proly looks like this'n?

Mine looks very similar to yours except for the engraving in the stock.

Thanks again for all the help.
