going thru some old pics, I found this one from last year. I was squirrel hunting in a new patch with a buddy, i was pushing deer around for him while putting the local squack population on alert. I had bagged a couple small grays and wanted a couple more to finish up a pot pie for my boys (the just LOVE daddy's Sqwerl Pot Pie) and I heard a ruckus coming from a plateau above me so i stalked up to it.
At first, i saw the tell tale squirrel tail boucing thru the leaves, and the distance involved skewed my judgement a little. I mean, seriously, thru the scope they all look the same...I could tell he was chunky but had no idea he was Squirrel-zilla.
I never weighed him, but i'm certain a few of you are familiar enough with the Marlin 882SSV rifle that you can take a guess at his size. I wish i had gotten a pic of his coin purse...this thing was an absolute stud LOL...okay, maybe a bit T.M.I. but this is easily the biggest one i've ever gotten to this day...i'm heading out to this same patch in the next couple days to see if i can scare up another one.
IDK, but I've shot some pretty large fox squirrels over the years.

Don't know how big the biggest I ever shot was. The biggest I ever seen were down along the Little Blue River in SE Nebraska. They were big as house cats.
Iv seen some pretty big two legged ones at work !

To each his own.
Don't blame me. I voted for the American.
Lot of years ago when I was in the military a friend and I were on patrol on the DMZ and ran across this one. For some reason the squirrels pic came out good but we came out a little grainy.
