I'm just curious if anyone out there makes higher capacity magazines for the 795? I know there is a billion options for 10/22's.

Sorry Eli but the short answer is no . I have done more than a few searches for after market items for Marlins and the cupboard is pretty bare . We are just to small a brotherhood to catch the interest of industry .
Of Empires and Kings , Generals and Armies , All have fallen and only the people have stood the test of time . It is theirs to pick up the broken pieces of ego , conquest and follies of war. From the old to the new come home safe 1st SOW USAF
I have been looking for the same thing which I believe should also fit the70 PSS. There are 15 rd mags which seem to get universally bad reviews. I'm surprised Marlin hasn't come out with some. It seems like a void in the marketace. The best option at present is Marlin 10 rd mags which get great reviews for reliability. There is a rumor of a major mag producer who is supposed to have something in the offing. But I have no details. Love to hear anything new you can turn up.

A little off topic from my original post but I thought I'd pass these along anyway. A couple sights I've found with a few goodies for Marlins:Originally Posted by ElmerFuddsRevenge

But yes, there is very little out there for us. Which really boggles my mind because I MUCH prefer the Marlin over the Ruger.

Wonder if it's possible to modify 2 SS Marlin mags into a 19 or 20 round mag?
Would probably need a different spring, and you would have to know how to weld. hmmm.
On Rimfire Central's online forum "Big Shrek" has been in contact with some Aftermarket Manufacture's on this subject. Got to show there is a "demand for our need" of hi-cap magazines. Since Ramline was the last to supply a 30 rnd mag for the mod 70 Marlin. But the Clinton Gun Ban in '94 did away with that. And since then no one has came back on board as a supplier. But I tell you IF someone would produce a RELIABLE hi-cap mag for the Marlins, thier shareholders would be rollin in the cash. But as I said before our voice's need to be heard first by contacting manufactures and letting them know. Here is a link to what i'm talking about:

Marlin 336C in .35 REM from 1966
Marlin 39A .22LR from 1957
Glenfield Model 60 from 1977

Did somebody call my name??
We need folks to email Ramline bout those older model mags...http://www.ram-line.com/contact_us.aspx
& Black Dog Machine LLC for the 795...http://blackdogmachinellc.net/contact-us.aspx
& Mec-Gar industries for the 795...mecgar@aol.com
If you WANT high-cap mags, we gotta show these folks that we really WANT them
The big difference between the old 70 & new 795 is the mag well was changed to add a BUMP that prevents the Pre-ban mags from being used...you can chisel that out and use the old Ramline Mags...IF you can find them at a reasonable price.

I am all for Mec-Gar, they make some good quality mags. e-mails are being sent
I'm on board. I presume the new mags they off will fit a new 70PSS.

Yep. 795 mags fit the newer 70P's
The difference, between old & new, will be a Noticeable Bump inside the mag well...where everything else is smooth on the way in.
I wish I had a pic of it...but I still need to buy a 795, instead of playing with other folks rifles
