Did Marlin ever produce a tube fed auto loader in 22mag? I googled and searched Marlin's site and didn't turn up what I was looking for. I have found magazine fed auto loaders and tube fed bolt rifles.
To the best of my knowledge, nope.
Only thing that was close was the clip-mag marlin 922. That's the only Semi-auto Marlin .22WMR I know of.
Reportedly they were pretty good lil rifles, based on the Camp 9 action.
The only good-working .22WMR Semi-auto was the Grendel line...P-30, P-31, & R-31. I own all three. I want MORE!
Took a little tweaking like a Model 60 does, but they all cycle perfectly now.
Ruger made a 10/22Magnum, but has dropped the line for the 6th time...still having issues with failing to cycle.
The AMT Automag-II sucked...and still reportedly has the same problems since High Standard started making them.
The only other option is the Excel Accelerator Rifle & Pistol, niether of which I've been able to test.
But they sure look nice
Everything else that has come out in Semi Auto in a .22WMR has FAILED MISERABLY.
You missed one. The Brno ZKM 611 twenty-two magnum autoloader. It's the finest quality .22WMR autoloader built. I have one built in 1996. Sterling performance, super accurate.~Andrew
I did a auction check on 'em...
Some guy tried to sell one at $549, it didn't sell, so he's relisted it at $625...
The 10-round Magazines are even harder to find than Grendel's 30-rounders, according to some boards.
Although it does look nice
I gladly paid $495 for mine 7 years ago, as-NIB. from an estate sale. The magazines are trading for $60 to $100 each at auction but cheaper retail. I bought four of them shortly after buying my rifle (two 6-rounders and two 10 rounders) and I expect them to last forever.
These rifles are slicker then slick. The bolt is "under hung" so the throw is short the rifle barely quivers during the bolt cycling. It's really a fine rig.they are a take-down and I have mine in a luggage style case meant for a shotgun. (sweet.) ~Andrew
Anybody try one from Magnum
Not yet...kinda pricey, and I'm a cheap rascal unless it's a .30-06
