Here's a nice lookin older Marlin 22 mag ..... I think this is the oldest 22 mag Marlin made.
I got one last spring and it sure is a nice piece. Anyone looking for one might wanna check it out.
Woah, if you are the one who bought that one, you got a STEAL!!
Gold trigger, antique Weaver Scope...heck, the scope's probably worth the $250 bid...
As far as I can tell, the 980 (1962-1970) was the first .22 Magnum offering. The DL (deluxe) version are real sweethearts.
Hello Big Shrek – I agree, that’s a nice looking rifle, and a pretty good deal, but surely you’re kidding about what the scope is worth. The V22 first came out in 1965. If you allow lever actions in the first .22mag contest, the 57M came out in 1959. GoodLuck - RounderRick
I should have looked closer at the lever-action section...You are correct about the 57M
I've been shocked lately at what old items (and some not-so-old) are going for online...but it was a wild guess on the scope price Truly nice to see an old Weaver mounted up, wonder how well it shoots?
I'll let you know how it shoots once or if I get it, I'm having no luck with the seller on getting it delivered.
Contact gunbroker...let them know there's a problem
Any luck on the seller yet??
Perhaps there is a member nearby that can kick 'em in the Bahoogies for ye
As of today she's on here way and I'm jazzed. Should be next week and I know excactly where I'm going after pickup. By the way took my little 1975 336er out yesterday and was shootin quarters all day. Had a couple of old timers gawkin over her looks. Will post pics of both when the 22 arrives. thanks jeff
