If my memory serves me.the 56 22lr was steel only in the first year of production,the 57,22lr was aluminum throughout its duration and the 57M,22magnum were all steel but for the first year.All rimfire levermatic were sold under various "house names"Revelation,Sears ect and had aluminum recievers on all that I have seen,but then I haven't seen them all.
