The price just now is way too much to consider. I too am going to avoid cheaper than dirt in the future. If I have to stop shooting totally until the price comes back down then I will. If we all refuse to pay those prices the market will be glutted in a matter of days. Then the gougers can eat the ammo they get stuck with.

I am watching to see who is gouging. When this current crop of craziness is over they will not be getting any of my buisiness.

$150 for a brick. They are full of crap.

I don't need any subsonic stuff right now but as of 11:15pm EDT Thursday, Midway is showing Remington Sub Sonic for 33.99 for 500 in stock.

Here's the link to the one mentioned above.

Remington Ammo 22 Long Rifle Subsonic 38 Grain Lead Hollow Point

Not a super deal, but not gougy.

Those bulkammo prices are outrageous. They're going on a lot of people's poop list along with CTD

MM336SS - The BEST way I've found to source ammo online is to go to slickguns and start a feed. Then set up an alert in your feed reader so whenever your search term hits, it makes a sound (I use the sound of a gunshot) The actual retail-priced deals move so fast they don't have to time to go on gunbot, and they get wiped out within minutes. That's how I've gotten the two deals I posted earlier in this thread. Both of them (1700 rounds) were delivered this week. Along with some other calibers of "actual pre-panic or close to it" retail-priced ammo, the UPS man has literally put ammo on my porch every day this week. I can't help but wonder what he's starting to think of that.
Promag .. I left the obligatory phone message, and the email of course. Obviously, customer service is not part of their business model .. glad yours are working out for you so well .. nice to hear eBay .. probably the same guy selling on GB for $82 a couple weeks ago.

I don't know about Slickguns .. a smartphone ap I'm guessing. I Do know that stuff gets online without even Gunbot posting it, because I picked up 1,000 rounds of M22 for $58.96 including shipping, from Cabela's tonight, and Gunbot hadn't posted anything on it for the previous 11 hours. Of course this makes me pretty damn happy, cause it's one of the rounds I was really looking for, and landed cost is totally reasonable at 5.9 cents per round. I don't have four Walmarts within 20 minutes .. closest is 50 miles, so buying online is viable. LGS .. I think there's one down there too .. not really sure .. hehehe. For sure, 10 bucks for shipping is alot cheaper than 5 gallons .. 2 hours minimum driving .. plus my time.

Anyway .. I think we all should find some solace .. encouragement .. in my good fortune tonight. A nickel a round for Good Stuff (S&W 15-22's luv m22) is certainly heartening. And I saw the CTD $150 a brick on Ammoseek too .. surely they'll get lots of payback along with all the other vendors that have been gouging .. just karma. Happy Hunting Guys .. Essayons!

And they're back - this time the 500 rd. box.

Actually they've been coming and going all day. If they're out, look back in a little while and remember to refresh the page.

They must be unloading trucks or something.

edit - oops - meant to quote - that's for the Remington linked above.

I was at an Lgs in springdale AR looking at the baretta neos the other day. Someone came in saying they got a call about 22lr ammo in stock and the clerk handed over 2 50 round boxes. In the next 30 seconds 6 more boxes passed over the counter to me my friend and another fellow who happened to be standing within earshot. Looks like they only had about 10 more boxes to sell. Wolf 40 grain @ 7 bucks for 50 rounds

I just had to go and see it for my self (originally a Missouri boy you have to show me). Well the McKinney Tx Cheaper than Dirt has 22lr. Now for the ugly CCI mini mags 39.99 for a box (100 rounds). Midways still shows them a little over 8 bucks. Am I right is it really a 500% mark up? I used to buy from them often.
