    Re-sizing die for bullets

I read somewhere about a handloader resizing a 310 cal jackated bullet down to .308 with a Lee re-sizing die. I have never heard of resizing bullets. Can anyone here shed some light?
    Thanks,

Reduction of bullet diameter to fit a particular barrel dimension.

Nothing more to it than that. What is your specific question?

    Re: Re-sizing die for bullets

For years I've used a Lee bullet sizing die to resize Hornady .32 cal 85gr XTP JHPs from .312 down to .308 so I could shoot them in a Czech VZ52 pistol chambered in 7.62x25 Tokerev. I sprayed them with case sizing lub, then pushed them thru the die using my regular RCBS Rockchucker press. To the naked eye, they hardly seem changed, but a micrometer sure shows the result. I have never had a bad one come out, in other words, no jacket separation or other problem. I've done the same to Hornady .32 cal 60gr XPTs and Speer .32 cal 60 gr Gold Dots, but in lesser quantities. Again, no problems.

I've heard and seen pics of this done when people have original Mauser 88 commission rifles with .319 diameter bores.
