Quick question for all the handloaders out there. How do you guy keep track of all your load data/recipies etc? I am just getting started and thought that I would make a binder up with dividers for every caliber I load. I would put load data, Accuracy results, how well a specific combo worked etc.
I want to try and keep track of all my load data so that I can reference the data when need be. So, what works for you guys? Is there a form that you use to record your Bullets, powder, case, primer, Velocity, Muzzle energy, accuracy etc? If so please let me know and tell me what method you use to keep everything organized.
I am just looking for a tried and tested method so that I can start off on the right foot.
Any help/suggustions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Jeff

I take a standard notebook out with me when shooting over the chrony to write down the results, but that's just for rough data. I keep all my reloading data on Excel spreadsheets and just print out what I need when I need it.

What matters is marksmanship, shot selection, and bullet construction (mass, diameter and expansion behavior). These are things that don't tend to be found in ballistics tables

I have one of them lymans reloading record data book. I write down my recipe's, gun etc... and how it shot. It works perfect and all it takes is a little patience flipping through to find what I need.

Thanks guys. Appreciate the help.

I went there and registered, but when I tried to login I got an error message that told me there is no record of my username in their database. When I tried to register again I got an error saying that the user name was already taken. When I tried to register with a different user name I got an error message that my e-mail address was already registered. I just gave up.Originally Posted by Gohon

I use a form I borrowed from an old reloading book, and modified for my own purposes. Categories listed are:
Date Loaded
Caliber
Quantity
Brass Used (Mixed, brand, nickle, etc.)
Primer (brand)
Powder
Charge weight
How measured (Lee Auto-Disk, scoop, Lee Perfect Powder Measure, or Weighed)
Bullet Brand
Bullet Type
Bullet weight
Type of load (Test batch, standardized load, or practice)
Notes (New powder lot, OAL, average velocity, etc.)
I keep my chronograph data in a seperate book, on a form available here:
