A Mother in Need For a Prayer....

Hello to all my friends here at MarlinOwners,,
My mother Barbara found out approx 6 or 7 months ago that she has Alzheimers. I have been staying with my folks for approx 18mos due to a divorce {My Own} and some other health and financial issues {also my own}. Well i have come to the conclusion that i will probably be staying for quite awhile longer than i expected due to this ugly disease she has. My Mom's "72" and my Dad's "80" , as of lately with the Alsheimers "AZ" my mom seems to have a grudge against my dad 24/7 365 days, he cant say anything right it seems or do anything right, i guess this is one of the things that happen with this AZ, its different for everyone, but this is whats happening here. She was good for awhile and some friends didnt even know, but know its getting more obvious by all, and sometimes its hard to even really want her to talk to anyone, she can get pretty mean if you ask too many questions or say the wrong thing.
I had all this stuff i wanted to say in this post, but it just seems to be making my heart sink lower, so i just would like everyone and anyone to please say a little prayer for her, and include in that prayer that this UGLY, UNNEEDED, MEAN and CRUEL Disease get a cure found!

Prayers sent. My God be with you and stregthen you. My partner's mother (has) and mother-in-law (had, she has since died) Alzheimers. Just remember your mom is not in her right mind. I can tell many stories here but not needed other than maybe just one. My partner's wife, the daughter of course, told her mom she was at her house. "Ya know mom, Sandy, your daughter's house". Then the reply "Oh, I hate Sandy". In her right mind she would never have uttered those words but with Alzhiemers they are not their own thoughts. The unfortunate part is that Sandy could not get this one out of her head and I believe it still bothers her to this day. Be ready for all kinds of comments and issues. Just remember it is not really your mom talking when she does something out of the norm.

You and your family have the prayers of Me and Mine, Sir. You're right, it is a cruel disease that takes our loved ones from us right before our eyes. I'm sure you've done research into"AZ," and therefore know that dramatic and long term mood changes are unfortunately common. I'm so sorry for your trials.

Prayers sent for your family BG! Alzheimers is one disease that, IMO, is harder on the family than the patient as they don't really know what they are doing or saying. Patience and prayers will help you get through it.
