    bolt action... model 455?

    ok... a buddy just mention these... can anybody give me the skinny or point me in the right direction?! my curiosity is peaked!! think they made a bunch of calibers... but the one he had a pic of looked... GOOD!

    Those are kind of scarce. Rare even. Only made from 1957-59- or maybe should say imported those years? Its a FN action with a Sako trigger and high quality. They came in 30-06 and 308. 1079 made in 30-06 and reportedly 59 in 308.

    Bluebook says a 100% one would bring $650 in -06 and add 20% for a 308. If you want a great FN bolt action look for a JC Higgins- it should cost less and be the same gun- maybe minus the trigger. But if you can get that one at a comfortable price, you should be getting a good one.

    anyone have pics of one of these? it has entered back into my radar... seems like some guns are like haley's comet... only come around once in a while and hard to forget...

    anyone seen any for sale lately? shouldnt really be asking but... sometimes it is a case of doesnt hurt too... or was that careful what you wish for... hmmm...
