I was wondering if we can get a metal follower for the magazine in a .308 XS7, or do we just have to wait with the cheap plastic followers?
I reject your reality, and substitute my own.
The plactic follower works just fine , Most under 500.00 guns use them and a lot of over 500.00 guns , If you want to install a metal follower in your XS7 or XL7 I am very shure You could find one at Brownells or Gun parts , If there is some thing wrong with your follower lets here about it. Maybe some of the outher fellers can shed some light . DD

no problems here with two XL7C rifles-if it aint broke don't fix it-whsk
I haven't had problems, but I just like the smoothness of a metal follower.

I have not had any problems with the follower... I would however, love a 5 round magazine...
Meatl To Metal Is Not as Smooth as Metal To Plastic . Metal wears Plastic Last a very Long Time and Does Not Wear The Bolt or have as much friction as Metal to metal . DDOriginally Posted by tokarev762

Thanks. Now I will probably just stay with plastic.

Thought I'd res this thread as I did do this upgrade and found it to be much nicer than the plastic follower. The rounds locks in the mag much cleaner and tighter and chambering is much smoother.
This was a worthy investment IMO.
Brownells part number and price.
