Marlin lever action in .454 Casull

I have the 1895 GBL in .40/70 Gov't and love the rifle. I also have a .454 Casull revolver.
Has Marlin ever considered combining the two - making a Scout rifle in .454 Casull caliber?

I have been searching and found that Puma used to make one. I went to Legacy Sports website and they didn't have one in the 2012 catalog. I asked them about it and they said that all of Rossi's machinery was purchased by Taurus, but Taurus site only has pistols and revolvers (and a couple assault style carbines).

My rant is "Why has Marlin not come out with a .454 Casull lever action rifle?"

I have the reloading equipment for Casull, and it would be real handy to have both a rifle and revolver in the same caliber. Others made them, and they seem popular from some of the comments I've seen - so why not Marlin?

Marlin makes excellent, and strong lever action rifles if the 1895 GBL is any indication. It came new with none of the issues that I have been reading about from other manufacturers.

So how about it Marlin - how about a nice .454 lever carbine?!!

I think if you look up the operating pressure of the 454 you will see the Marlin 336 can't take a steady diet at that level.

Even the Rossis which have a stronger action than Marlin have issues with their 454s.

Marlin loves your hands so they chose not to make this gun.

Besides, what is it again that the 45-70 can't kill...?

I think they had a 480 ruger advertised but it never materailized. I would dearly love to have one in a 480.
