George, you & your family are in my thoughts & prayers every morning & evening. Hang in there friend! 444
Yes, I think of you quite a lot, George. I hope things get better for you, my friend.

By the way Folks, George and his wife know that we are all thinking of them and I have had some folks ask me for his phone number. They appreciate our prayers and thoughts but they do not want to have lots of folks calling him because in addition to his failing eyesight and unable to use his hands real good he can't hear well on the phone so if Ya'll don't mind we will keep things as they are now where only me and a couple of the Mods know his number - just in case sumthin happens to me too!

Why do such good people go through this type of thing? I just don't understand. Still praying.

Georgeky gave me some good advice on .38-55's when I first got on the MO site. My prayers have been with him since he got sick. We exchanged recipes for sauerkraut. I was very surprised when I heard how much sauerkraut he actually ate. I sent him a Slovak family recipe we always made since I was a kid. But he said he would always snack on it plain and he had jars of the stuff. Now kraut is very healthy and low in calories, except for the salt. I don't know if he rinsed it before eating it, but unrinsed kraut can have 1500 mg of sodium in just a cup!! And 1500 mg is the daily recommended amount and a cup of kraut isn't a huge amount.
I remember thinking right then that I hope he wasn't eating too much of the stuff! I mean people do worry too much about modest amounts of salt nowadays (scary tales from the health Nazis), but downing thousands of mg's of sodium daily can definitely raise your blood pressure, which is a huge factor in aneurysms. Since his doctors know a hell of a lot more than I do about him (I never examined him), I only added this part because some MO's were wondering why he got sick. Now he just needs our continued prayers.

Golfbuddy45,
Any word on how Georgeky is doing? Sure would like to hear some good news.
