found one of these for sale excellent blue 80%-85% case colors , i was just curious as to rarity of 32 inch barrels, ballpark value, im trying to do a trade on it but not sure of the actual value, seems like old marlins are coming out of the woodwork. any imformation would be greatly appreciated. In that kind of shape, anything under $3,000 would be a steal in a 1894 Marlin! Extremely rare in any model, but especially in a 1894!
I bought a 1893 with 32" barrel earlier this year, and gave $1800 for it, and felt I got a steal on it. Long barreled Marlins bring huge money!

I was quoting the low end Don, to give you an idea. $3500 for a 32" with 85% case color would still be a great price!

    I just bot a 1893 32" 30/30 a week ago. Octagon barrel 30% case colors
exc wood & blue 297xxx serial # range. I paid $2650.00 for this gun &
I thought I got an excellent deal considering the scarity of these long
barreled guns. I now have 4 1893's with 32" barrels in my collection.
If I were you I would definitely for go for the deal because you just don't
find 32" barreled guns. These guns are definitely muzzle heavy.

Well, i went and looked at the marlin, case colors are not 80% finish is not bad though reciever still smooth with sheen, blue is nice , actually says model 94 instead of 1894, serial number 4152xx ,i ended up buying it its still a real nice rifle. Don

That's great Don! Not unusual for almost everyone to exaggerate their estimate of case colors on Marlins. I think I've seen maybe 1 out of every few hundred listed that were even close to what the seller said they were.
Looking forward to seeing pictures when you get the Mrs. Loggah up to taking them!
