25 years in LE, 5 with the New Mexico State Police and the rest with a mid-size city in NM. Left the state for family reasons (to much travel, crappy station) plus better pay with the city. Retired 6 years ago as a Detective Lieutenant.

My name is Lenny Athas. I retired from DEA in November 2008 after 28 years, 20 of them in Miami. I was a Maryland State Trooper prior to DEA from 1970 to 1980 where I worked in uniform and as a detective in the narcotics section. I'm now back to work as an Assistant U. S. Attorney in Miami where I prosecute drug traffickng cases in the Narcotic Section and I'm posted at the Miami H.I.D.T.A. Task Force. I have lots of guns, but My Marlin 1895G in .450 Marlin is one of my most favored. I hunt on a lease in Osceola County and wherever else when I can. /s/ LA
