Hi. I'm completely new to knives. I need to get a good knife for field dressing all the deer and elk that I'm bound to hunt with my new old 30-30 and I've been looking at the Outdoor Edge Swing Blade knife that has a skinning blade and a concave gutting blade. I've been doing some research on sharpening (never have tried to do that yet) and found the Lansky system. It looks like the hones are flat, can you use them on a concave blade with only the corners making contact? What is the correct method to sharpen a concave blade like the swing blade?
