Didn't they make a movie along this line "Death Race with David Carradine?" You got points for running over sheepels.

When I first moved down south here, I bought a little 2 bedroom house that needed work. Most people would say a lot of work. To me, it really wasn't that bad. Guess the bullet hole in the front door put them off.

I'd work all week at my regular FT job, then work on the house all weekend. (I was younger then). In the end, turned it into a little gingerbread house and that's how I got the coin together to buy the one I'm in now.

Back to the story. I had bought an old Ford F250 off a guy across the street that was a real workhorse to haul materials in and junk out. Couldn't believe the amount of stuff I could get in the back of it and it would hardly squat at all.

Basically, no 1st gear, since it was so low. And it did not have a muffler. For $250 bucks, I didn't complain.

I was coming back to the house late one afternoon tired and sweaty from busting my ass on the house all day, heading to the beer store down the block and these 2 or 3 ragamuffins standing on the curb in the median look me right in the eye and step down off the curb, pretending to not know I'm even there and taking their lolly-gaggin sweet time about getting out of my lane.

Well, I grabbed hold of the stick, pushed in the clutch, shoved it back up into 3rd and tromped it.

Said ragamuffin jaywalkers suddenly found the need to remove themselves from my lane and hastily seek safety on the side of the street.

    I loved that truck.

Lot o that came from protest we had in Memphis--the dummies bunched up in middle of I40 interstate on its Mississippi River Bridge crossing--caused thousands of cars & 18 wheelers to be jammed up to a halt for several miles long & hours o waiting ! Damm big wonder that there wasn't any traffic pile ups or anyone get run over!!

Heh, I did that once, looong ago. I had a '68 Chevelle SS396, 4 speed, positrac. Couple o' morons tried that with me, doin' the shuck'n'jive across the road in front of me. I dropped it into 2nd and floored it. They figgered out how to do the hotfoot boogie real quick like!

Easy way to get rid of protesters. Go to the nearest farm, load the S### spreader, back up to protesters and engage PTO. Issue free car wash tickets to any vehicle hit and bill the protesters for the car wash tickets. Would be fun to watch.
