Henry Service and a couple new levers..

I bought a Frontier a few months ago and have set out on a mission to wear it out. I enjoy the rifle and its smoothness of operation. Compared to my two 39's it is much smoother, as for accuracy I will probably not scope the Frontier so will probably never know. It is sufficient to bust clay fragments with pretty reasonable consistency at 75 yards, and will be perfect for bunny hunting in the winter. Next I start the search for a standard model to teach my grandchildren and all the other small ones in my life the joys of shooting. I found a used one at the pawn shop that had seen a lot of action and not much love. After I get it home I see that the barrel is loose in the action, and that the frame around the taper pins is actually worn.. I send a few e-mails to Henry and they say send it back.. In one week I get the rifle back, open the package and it is a new H001 and a note saying that mine was replaced with this new one... Wow, now that is customer service. fit and finish is excellent, took it to the range today and after a few magazine fulls of Federal bulk I have it sighted in and very happy with how it is shooting... I'm going to be quite busy trying to wear these two out , oh, yea the grand kids.. Guess I'll have to look around for another one in the pawn shops...

You might have to find another crook one and get that exchanged for nicks also. As for the grandkids just keep looking, you might find a crook one that Henry won't replace and the grandkids can have that.

I knew that Henry was a good company, but that is above and beyond.

It doesn't surprise me at all. I have two Henry's (gave one to my son and kept the H001) and they are excellent rifles. They are both smooth as glass and shoots all ammo very well. I've never had a jam or a misfire.

All of my experiences with the company include questions with quick answers. I ordered a big loop for my H001 and it came quickly and looks great. Thanks for sharing picketpin .

Like bigjeepman, it doesn't surprise me either. I had to deal with Henry on 2 different rifles, one used and one new and both times both items were corrected at no cost to me. I also had a friend of mine that had to send in a rifle he bought new that had problems and they not only replaced the rifle they sent 2 Henry soft gun cases back with it. Above and beyond good customer service.
