    Feral Hog - Patagonia

    Last week I went hog hunting in Central Patagonia.
    I didn't get any, but one week earlier, these guys got this:




    This bad boy killed two dogs and wounded one more before going down for good.
    Weight?: 270Kg = 595 Lb
    I'm hoping for one a little bigger next time I go down there.

    Hogs like that are the reason you are always advised to "Use Enough Gun".

    So.........what gun were you toting?

    Hi there PJ!. You're most right, as usual. You cannot be under gunned when looking for these things.
    Last week, I had my Remington 870 Express 20Ga loaded with slugs and my 629 6.5" on my belt loaded with 240 Gr. I'd normally be carrying my 1894 in 44 Magnum, but was malfunctioning so stayed at home. Now, these type of pigs are the reason why I got a 1895G 45/70. I hope to have it here before next season.
