Gunner, I ended up getting 2 more permits in Nassau County this hunting season. Archery in September at Ralph Simmons WMA, and general gun in November, again at Ralph Simmons. Both are 9 day hunts. Ralph Simmons is right on the St. Mary's River, with Georgia on the other side. It's a small WMA with only 30 permits for each hunt. I've been trying to get these permits for years, just got lucky this time. I understand it's rich with deer and hogs, looking forward to both hunts.

    Outstanding Scoop. Sounds very nice.

Can't wait for gun season to open. Just got back from Bass Pro and picked up a new climber on sale. Happy camper!

I didn't get doodly-squat for any of the qouta hunts I put in for this year.

All I can do now is wait for small game season to get hogs on the WMA's, and most of them require shotguns only. Fricken hate that.
Went down the hill, other day
Soul got happy and stayed all day

Actually Lunar, you can use anything but a center fire rifle. That means muzzleloader, bow, crossbow, handgun (yes, centerfire handguns are legal) so you have more options than you think! Also, you can find a buddy that DID get a permit and twist his arm to get you a guest permit. My friends are chasing me around trying to get mine!

    Hi from Jacksonville, FL

Unfortunately where we hunt there are no hogs. I'd like to find someone with a hog problem that would like it resolved..

I haven't got quota in Florida for the last 3 years, good thing I got a lease. I like the areas around where I was raised. Just know the woods and where the game is. As far as hunting this year seen allot of does but no bucks in Georgia. I was holdin out on what was on camera . Hope every body is having a good hunting season. And stayin safe.
