I worked with a guy who would hunt hogs like this, with dogs and knives. I'm not really into it....but I went along once, just to see how they do it. Pretty interesting. These dudes had gps collars on the dogs too, so they could tell how far out and in what direction the dogs were after they loosed them in the brush.
Those guys lose the occasional dog though, and one of them got his leg tore open a few months back. Dudes kind of remind me of this guy:

Got caught on the ground by a big herd while in Germany. Then got to CA and got an invite to hunt hogs with a knife - Hell No!!! Passed on that one...
