I finely found a gunsmith to order this gun for me yesterday,I drove over and paid in full 604.00 that’s the price out the door well anyway he calls me today and every distributor is sold out! this has to be a cheap option to the high price of the S&W and ruger.

No, I took the check back now I have to WAIT until Taurus starts making relvolvers again (July).

Just went to the gunsmith and paid in full for a Ruger blk hawk 44 mag!. That I'll get if it's in stock.

You probably would have liked the Taurus IMHO. Mine is a 480 in a 8 3/8" barrel and I enjoy it very much. The porting gives you a push instead of a jump, and it makes a great back up when I go to the woods. If you don't mind the extra weight, which I don't. I have a nice hydration pack that has a pocket on the side which has a perfect place to tuck it away, and still have it easily accessible.

I think Taurus makes a good revolver, but I don't think you will loose a seconds sleep over not getting it since you purchased that Ruger. The Ruger is a real solid gun and a lot of gun for the money. Congrats on the purchase!
