Picked up a SS 12ga tonight. It is stamped on receiver Central Arms CO. St. Louis & have no ser.# not removed never had one.
Anyone have any info? I find it kind odd it does not have a ser. #
If you remove the barrel from the action, you might find a number inside. Central Arms (according to Google) was a trade name used by Shapleigh Hardware in St Louis. The guns were made by Crescent which got bought and sold and came into the J Stephens ownership around 1926. Interesting read. Just google it.
