Is H&R still making the Pardner in 10 Guage with the Walnut stock and blued finish?
The Pardner Waterfowl is still made with the usual walnut finished hardwood.
Thanks, quick. I visited one of the local gun stores who obviously had the "rude clerk syndrome". I asked the same question of them, and got the reply, "why would you want a 10 gauge?"
I want one because I want one. His logic came real close to the same logic of the gun contol nuts......"why would you want a (fill in the blank). No reasonable person needs that!"
I will do doubt take my money elsewhere.
I did some more research and didn't find anyone that had one in stock, or even listed it as an item in their inventory which leads me to believe it was discontinued even tho it's still listed on the H&R website. I have sent an email to a friend at Remington, may learn more when he replies.
Just got a reply, the Pardner 10 Gauge (SB2-103) is still a current product, but the next production run isn't scheduled until July 2009.
Thanks again. I see a black one on the website with a screw-in choke. Can you shoot a slug through that barrell with the choke removed?
I spose ya could, but I'd check with the fellas in the H&R Shotgun forum at GBO if you don't get a more specific answer here.
I just saw a 10ga.. didn't pay attention but it was a single shot..
after New Years on Monday call Grice Gun Shop in Clearfield , Pa I will list the link to their site.. They don't mess with the site much so email is fruitless .. phone call is better and they do ship to ffl's all over..

If you shoot anything with the choke tube removed it will ruin the threads in the barrel
I had one of these shot guns back in the day, and I took a lot of geese with it. Mine did not have choke tubes, but a fixed full and it was great when lead was legal.
I retired this shot gun and gave it to a friend.
