Need some suggestions Guys. My youngest son inherited this topper 158 12ga. 2 3/4" only 36" full choke shotgun and He loves it. The problem is when fired, the ejector jumps the rim failing to extract case. Also I've noticed that when action is closed there is a gap of appx. 1/32 of an inch between the plaastic piece at the rear of the fore end and the receiver. Not sure if this is a concern or not. Also and most importantly when fired with a standard 2 3/4" 1 1/4oz. load the action un-locks under recoil! Your suggestions on possible causes, repairs are appreciated! Gun is currently side lined until these issues are repaired! Thanks in advance
Remove the forend and see if the barrel is tight to the frame when the action is locked, sounds like it may be loose and needs to be shimmed, it may also be the cause of the ejection problem or it needs a new latch spring or ejector, see the barrel fitting info in the FAQs and Help sticky in the link below to tighten the barrel fit to the frame and check latch engagement.

Thanks quickdtoo, I have checked and barrel has very little "wobble" when forend is removed. actullay feels slightly looser when forend is installed. I will check the stickys and latch engagement also noticed today that the butt stock is slightly loose as well. Gotta finish up a few other projects to make room on the bench for this one! Thanks again
