2009 Muzzle loader season ,,, Maggie and I left around 1:30 and walked some timber staying about 100 yards apart, I jumped some right off the main trail and seen 3 tails sneakin away, I just kept poking along a deer trial when I heard something coming, I looked off to my left and at 10 o'clock on my back trail here he comes up outta a ditch and on another trail . Bout $^!~ myself when I seen him. He was doing the "Sneakin Away Run" sorta Low N Slow,, not a balls to the walls running, he was almost like was trying to be quite about it,He slowed down and came to a opening and I made smoke. Dropped him,,from where I was standing to where he laid was 22 yards. Maggie text me and asked what was up, I told her I shot a bigger deer than I have ever shot. So I had to take a picture and send it to her so she would belive me since I am such a B.S.er. We took the first pictures at 3pm and was 6:30pm when got him home, washed out, weighed and hung up in back yard. We had about 1/2 mile of a drag out of timbered trails to get him to some hiking and horse trails. I went and got a friends cart and we had another 3/4 push/pull to make it to the parking lot. I had a rope and made a harness like strap out of it and one of us pulled the other balanced and pushed. My scale goes to 200lbs and he peaked it out. Just sitting here havin a Rum n OJ relaxing now...
Hope the Lucky Penny I had in my pocket keeps it that way thru the rest of the seasons.
Another pic
Another ,, I shrunk them , if go any smaller they get fuzzy and blurry

He sure is a dandy!
congrats all around.
Man, great pics and great story! Congrats on a nice kill.
Say, what do you know about that game cart? Do you know where he got it, which model, anything? I'm planning on getting one. How did it work for haulin' that big Hoss? Do you think you could have got it out without an extra person? (I'm planning on using it for smaller doe)
There are varying degrees of evil. We urge you lesser forms of filth not to push the bounds and cross over into true corruption; into our domain. For if you do, one day you will look behind you and you will see we three. And on that day, you will reap it.
good hunting

Mmmmm, mmmmmmeat! Congrats!

Great deer. That looks like a Savage, MuleCrazy, and it looks like it did the job. Finished sighting mine in on the 200 yard range today. Two more weeks 'til my tag is good in New Mexico. . .
