    A Day in The Woods...

Loaded up the old Chevy 4x4 and went to the hunt'n land to get the old dirt road cleared out so I could drive to the lake on the backside of the land. Although I worked my butt off, I had lotsa fun just being in the woods.

I've seen plenty of deer sign without actually going into the woods... saw a good sized doe track yesterday.

And notice how dense the woods are with trees and brush.... it's thick and nasty back in there. It's hard to see past 20-25yds when the leaves are up when you walk into the woods.

Thick stuff allright, have you tried cutting trails for the game to use? Maybe funnel them right close to your tree stand.
Nothing expresses Liberty more than, the report of a rifle shot fired in the defense of Freedom.

Yeah... Every year about a month before gun season starts, I start doing some scouting and identify where I need to cut some shooting lanes. Even so, the longest shot I've ever had out there was 40yds.
