My own little piece of Heaven
Old revolver my grandfather likely bought through Sears. Trying to get some info. Serial #M1187 Under grip, 1159 is stamped under trigger, 6" oct. barrel, half moon blade front site, .22 caliber.
Found some info on here, but always welcome to hear more. More importantly, it has a pretty heavy petina. I'd like to know how to clean it up a bit, without removing it. Doesn't apear to have any signs of rust. I have to find the pin for the cylinder, but pretty sure it will still fire once the pin is in it.
1) free gun from grandpa
2) decent original quality, so, very shootable
3) way, way off the books, so, keepable
4) fabulous collectable grips, so you can pull the string from Palm Springs if you want to.
Oh yeah, Roe calls it again. Nuttin' wrong with that bear's eyes, is there?
I was over at a friends house the other day and he pulled out his Dad's old Iver that he inheirited and it was a sealed eight. It was wrote on the gun.
