A cool copy of a classic. I remember shooting a 30 carbine which a high school friends uncle bought from Sears & Roebuck when they actually had a gun counter. Things have sure changed. Whats the country of origin on the Citadel?

    Hey BM

I was looking at that rifle thinking that is one of the coolest things, just wondered how it would shoot?
I have been looking at those 10/22 M1 type replacements stocks for a few years just never pulled the trigger on one.
We shoot boatloads of 22s up at the cabin, something about the more you shoot can only make you a better shot

I need to investigate this further...

If they make them in a .22 Mag, then put me down for one.

Great looking rifle, big med. Thanks for posting a quickie on it.

That little carbine is indeed improted by Legacy Sports and made by Chiappa, based in Italy...

Some of us may remember Iver Johnson imported a rimfire replica of the M1 Carbine, made by Erma in Germany, back in the late "80's. It was available in both .22 LR and .22 Mag. and I see them from time to time at the gunshows.

It comes with two mags 10 rounds. They are easy to load not thumb killers. The receiver is grooved for rings so you could scope it if so inclined. The grooves are not noticeable so it doesn't distract from the looks. I got the rifle at Uncle Matts Guns in Beatrice,Ne. Small gun shop but he does a boat load of business because he doesn't rape you on price and gets guns to sell.

The rifle is designed from the ground up and operates like a carbine. The operating rod and bolt hold open are just like a carbine. The safety and mag release are exactly like the carbine. So it isn't like a 10/22 or mod 60 with a different stock. The don't make it 22 mag only 22 lr. This is a neat gun and mine will get shot a lot!

Great, that's just absolutely fantastic... Here I am thinking my list is finally getting down to a manageable size and you have to come here and post that! Thanks a lot, pal.

I love it, that's a no brainer addition to the list right there provided it functions well.

nice looking but the 10rd. mag is a deal buster for me. I bought the Colt m16 W/walter lothar barrel, 30 rd. full size mags. Its "AWESOME" groups right with my custom ruger 10-22+IT will shoot 90rds of FED. bulk ammo in under 30 sec.
