Well boys and girls, Charlie showed up here. We had been expecting him any day now. Cleat was keeping an eye on the gate, and when he saw Charlie arrive, gave him a lift up to the homestead. Charlie’s just a little guy, and was pretty excited about getting a ride.

I thought I’d see if there was anything specific he’d like to do, and right off he said he’d really like to see the magic fence post. Eric must have mentioned something about it to him. Of course he had to get a picture standing on top!
Good onya Charlie.![]()

THE OLDER I GET THE BETTER I WAS.

Gutsy little guy too. When I asked if he wanted to conjure up a rifle, he said he’d always wanted a Sharps. Coached him on the magic words… poof… and there it was. A real beauty. Spent the afternoon shooting it.

I still had a few things yet to get done today, so left him and Cleat shooting the bull… We’ll see what tomorrow brings. Best regards. Wind

Ha! Good stuff Wind. Glad Charlie arrived safe and sound.
I'm deciding how to proceed with the thread/s. I'm thinking about having subsequent hosts just keep posting to this one. I'd put up a list of who's next here too. What do you think? One big thread or separate ones?

Hey there Eli -- Now that Charlie is underway, I made an executive decision to get a new thread going. Might be an idea to re-post your original post above mine. That will set the groundwork, and we can play out Charlie's travels in this one. It had already gone three pages, and not a footstep. Best regards. Wind

I like the way you think Wind.![]()

Wind,
Great posts and tell Charlie to have a nice weekend! You too, of course.
