Got Hogs?
Kole took me hog hunting Thursday night on his place. Wow, but what a hog heaven he has thanks to his diligence in feeding year round.
About 8:15 I heard his .270 roar once and again in about 15 seconds. I figured he got a couple of hogs and I was sure ready for a group to come busting my my stand. It didn't happen! To make sure this is qualified for the Big Bore forum I had my 444S Thor with me.
Kole called me on the radio and said "Dave, I got one and it is a big mutha!"
He shot it head on and hit it right in the snout just below the eyes breaking the snout and blowing out one eyeball. We figure this one is every bit of 275# as we both couldn't drag him more than about 15 feet without stopping. Kole said he was going to ask the processor to weight it Friday. The pics absolutely do not do this hog justice as he was really a big one!! Great cutters on this hog.
I got to spend a fine evening in the woods with a true gentleman.
