We can hunt hogs at night here in SC now and we have to use a rim-fire with iron sights.
I was thinking that the 22 mag semi-auto would be a good choice.

A Model 57M would be nice too. Not semi-auto but the "Levermatic" has a real short throw.

I'm strongly tempted by the new Kel-Tec PMR-30, but I plan to wait and see if the ammo manufacturers will offer new short-barrel loads for it that offer more velocity and less flash.
The pistol is expected to be available really soon....... dum de dum dum....

I only have experience with Ruger's 10-22 in .22 mag. I have no complaints whatsoever, accurate, reliable feeding and comfortable in the hand. Good luck with whatever you choose.
